After shoveling 8" of snow off our deck last Saturday, the past couple days have warmed up and melted all the snow on the bike paths. I was able to ride my bike to run some errands and then over to the Dillon Reservoir for some wonderful views of the mountains. Tomorrow, more snow is predicted. This is spring time in the Rockies.
We did a 44 mile bike ride with our friends, Gary and Melody. We drove about 90 miles north of Silverthorne to the Colorado Wyoming boarder and rode the Medicine Bow Rail to Trails bike ride. We rode on small pea gravel, soft gravel, rocks and mud. We also had a section snow that we had to carry our bikes across.
On Sunday, we rode our bikes Silverthorne - Breckenridge (round trip 41 miles) with our friends Gary and Melody. Perfect day except for a strong headwind coming back from Breck to Frisco. Normally there is a headwind both directions but not today. Took this photo of Lake Dillon near the dam.
