23 Sept 2011 - Hummingbirds have flown south

Every morning we get up and check to see if Hummingbirds are still around.  Our cat sits quietly near the kitchen window where he can watch the Hummingbirds feed.

Well after two consecutive nights of  below freezing  temperatures, the Hummingbirds have finally headed south.  We try to keep records of when they arrive and leave but this year it seems that they have stuck around longer. They migrate south to Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. We will look forward to them returning around April'12.

15 Feb 2010 - Our Cat Vino

Our cat Vino, now likes to jump up and sit on the railing post. As I watched him today, he almost fell over the edge which is a 10' drop to the stairs below. Did not seem to bother him as he then walked across the railing to the other post.

Today, we adopted "Vino" from the Summit County Animal Shelter. He is a brown tabby about 9 weeks old and only weighs 2.5lbs. He hasn't eaten or drank any water since we brought him home around 2PM today but has cuddled up to both of us for a couple of cat bonding naps.
