Our cat Vino, now likes to jump up and sit on the railing post. As I watched him today, he almost fell over the edge which is a 10' drop to the stairs below. Did not seem to bother him as he then walked across the railing to the other post.
Measurable snow has fallen in 49 of the 50 states in the USA. Only Hawaii had no reportable snow. Here in Summit County we are still waiting for fresh powder. It has started to snow a little bit at our house and the local resorts reported 1-2" last night. The Olympics opening ceremonies are tonight in Vancouver, British Columbia where they are also waiting for snow.

I added a local live web cam on the left hand side of the page. For an expanded view, click on the image. The webcam I chose (Wilderness Area looking east towards Continental Divide) is not working all the time. I may have to switch to another local webcam.
While having our morning coffee, a very large moose walked down our driveway, across the road, and disappeared into the willows. Normally, we do not have moose on this side of the river. Click here to see more photos of the moose.
I have added a Time of Day image in the left panel. It is a series of 8 images that show the sun moving across the sky as the day progress. I am also working on get the header image to change during the day. Currently, I have two images. One for mornings and one at sunset. I will be adding others as time permits and I am able to get some great panoramas of the Gore Range.
